Columbia Graphophone (Type BQ "Rex")

     

Introduced in 1907, the Columbia Graphophone Model BQ originally sold for $30. The beautiful nickel-plated brass horn in a flower shape on display was an option for these machines and gave it a distinctive look. It was the first machine to come supplied with the new aluminum tone arm. The picture of the Columbia Disc Graphophone (below) shows the nickel horn as seen in this exhibit.
